#12: 10 HUMSS Myths

1. HUMSS is uncomplicated.

If this strand is uncomplicated, how about the pigaan ng utak sessions especially when creating some on-the-spot activities after the lessons on each subjects? Things get hassle and complicated especially if you and your members are not as one and your ideas get messed up because you have your different perspectives until it turned on a debate.

2. Tasks inside the HUMSS is not difficult.

On the past semesters and quarters that goes on. I realized that HUMSS truly developed and I've learned a lot and benefits me about the tasks that we've done for the past months. Doing everyday activities per subjects that must be passed at soon as possible after the task was given. And it's extremely a stressful one especially if your brain is tired and must need to go on to finish the difficult that's been given.
3. HUMSS is not a powerful strand.
Say the word, HUMSS is a powerful strand! Why? In HUMSS strand, not just as we focus on the main goal in this strand, in fact. This strand also have the goal to change the mindset of the people, to be more active people, and to change for the BETTER.

4. Each subject at HUMSS are easy to pass.
As I stated on my other blogs, 300 words ain't even enough to get 10 points instead writing on such big papers must be always and erase the word laziness for you to seriously pass and get out of your comfort zone.

5. HUMSS is not a way to widen your own knowledge.
People believe that this strand just focuses on improving your writing and that's just it. But they didn't know that students will take social science can be a big advantage to this strand to widen their own knowledge and apply it to themselves after they graduated on Senior High School. Not just learning politics, but also learning some new vocabulary to improve and develop how the way you write and so on.6. There's no disadvantages of choosing HUMSS strand.

Every HUMSS students have it's actual routine on sleeping up at 11 PM and waking up at 3 AM feeling not refreshed and going to school feeling blank and forcing your brain to work starting the class hours at 6:30 PM.

7. HUMSS will just improve your skills. That's all.

Not just HUMSS will improve your skills, but your overall attitude, overlook to the society. Your mindset will change as well, how did you act before will also be changed because of such big adjustments previous on what you're doing on the past school year!8. HUMSS subjects are much easier than subjects on Junior High School.
Not just because some lessons are repeated again on Senior High School, it doesn't mean that SHS subjects are even more easier than the subjects on JHS subjects. It's totally different and still getting on there to get the new lessons that is been teached through.

9. You can't apply on college what you've learned on HUMSS.
Especially for those who'll take education, it is a big factor that repeating again through our minds and recalling all of the lessons that is gathered for 2 years! It's impossible that no lesson will be again recalled on your college times.

10. HUMSS is nothing between the other strands.
"Nag-HUMSS ka lang!," I am not comparing HUMSS to other strands but each strands have it's own qualifications so I believe each strands is equal and each difficulties must be survived and just go with the flow.

Pretending that you're not tired just because you are scared that people will say, "Ang arte mo." I sometimes do have sleep anxiety even if I'm tired but thanks to God it literally doesn't affect my sleep especially I needed a lot of rest to again start up a big day.  U s HUMSS need to face up a BIG CHALLENGES everyday, I mean a lot stressful days especially if you don't literally get what is the lesson for today then a seatwork will came and you'll do it for like 15-20 minutes. Second is, being mental blocked at recitations. Even if you've read a lot and memorize it yesterday before the recitation. Teachers will also give tons of reading materials, writing and research topics, and other assignments that may include a creative output like poems, paintings, and speeches.
