  T he HUMSS Strand is well-known as HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES.It is one of the strands offered to Senior High students. This strand is for learners who aim to take up journalism, communication arts, liberal arts, education, and other social science-related courses in college.  T he HUMSS strand revolves around improving a student’s reading, writing, and speaking skills because if you haven’t noticed yet, people who choose this strand are aspiring to become members of the society who will be be dealing with a lot of people. (e.g teacher, psychologist, lawyer, etc.) Honing these skills are crucial for them to establish effective communication with people when they are working. For these reasons, half of the subjects involved in this strand focus on Language and Speech. While Mathematics and Science are still included in their daily schedules, they are not too difficult since they do not belong to the specialization subjects of the said strand. #2: Facts about HUMSS

H UMSS is really an outstanding strand in terms of gaining your confidence and improving your reading and writing skills. This strand can also widen and deepen your knowledge if you wanted to be a researcher or a essayists in the future. Firstly, HUMSS is for the curious-minded, some people who will not take HUMSS may find it boring and not interesting about Philippine Politics, Social Sciences etc., but they don't know that they can even apply it a lot especially for people who will take Soc. Science. S econdly, Predict the future: HUMSS students have the chance to predict the future because they spend time looking back at the past and learning from all the mistakes and successes of humanity since the beginning of time. In short, study History and its relevance to the world today. Also, in HUMSS, you will have the ability to understand how people think and why they think that way. #4: 4 Struggles As A HUMSS Student

"N ag-HUMSS ka lang." repeat it again. "Nag-HUMSS ka lang," well. That's what you expect. I will now show up some real STRUGGLES in our strand and some tips on how do we manage that struggles and to relief ourselves to the stress we're facing to. I know that every strand is a stressful yet exciting one since I love doing essays, poems, and so on. But one thing's for sure .  1. You really need to be a confident public-speaker! Erase your stage-fright! When you are speaking in front of class, make sure that you are confident enough and always showcase what you really can do. Either it is your comfort zone or not, HUMSS will always enhance on how will you develop yourself as a public speaker, to be a good writer, and to believe on your own self as well. 2. Teachers will expect as much when you do writings or activities! In the last semester, 200 words is not enough to satisfy your teachers especially if you just repeated the same words over again an

#5: Festivity Was PLAYED

  T herefore, besides of LOTS of struggles, lack of sleep, everyday clearance, everyday activities, everyday writings. I screamed my heart so loud after the exams was taken, it was a great mood after a lot of sufferings in our examinations and let us set aside the upcoming theatre play in Creative Non-Fiction, several bands performs; I Belong To The Zoo, Parokya Ni Edgar, Down By 18, La Auxion and guest Renz Lagria. It was really an amazing night as Chito Miranda is not just a great performer but a great man as well! He have stated that every man must be a gentleman to every girls inside the campus. It was a memorable night due to I have been singing PNE's songs since I was on 9th grade and that night I was just singing to it with Chito in front of stage. My festivity side has come out! I totally let every moment be a special one and not just as Parokya Ni Edgar gives me the chills but also the other performers who performed as they showcase their talents since I was a fan o

#6: Write-IST

B elieving to myself that this is also my side which I am really love to do with. Especially at school, if the topic given was really at that point. I will give it all and my mind will burst of ideas especially essays. This is a way to explore not just as a student but also to yourself on how you wanted to share it to. This is a way to express your passion to be more confident to your own abilities and skills as a HUMSS student because stepping up with HUMSS is a future leader and a write-IST. Not just as we write, but it is also to release and just to share and be more open to ourselves through the way of writing.

#7: Save the LANGUAGE

L ast semester, we've presented WIKA NG PANANALIKSIK. What's the purpose? To raise awareness to each Filipino's to appreciate and to listen what really symbolizes our Filipino language? In our section we have united on this practice with our choreographer Mr. Jhuniel and we've practiced for 1-2 months and we've struggled but our hearts was so fulfilled with love because we have the reason on why we're performing this and the fir- st time to perform with this section with new faces, and new minds. W e shouted and screamed our voices out. "Filipino ang wika ko! Wika ng Saliksik!," each words that we've shouted, there's a meaning behind it. Each emotions of my classmates shouted because it is the reality that our language today is underrated and 11 HUMSS 1A strengthens as we participate on Buwan ng Wika and even if we are not picked to dance interbranch, we're still blessed to share our talent and improve ourselves as HUMSS students.

#8: Tips & Advices

8 TIPS & ADVICE BEFORE YOU START ENTERING THE HUMSS WORLD! W e students must be well-prepared with the tips and advice that we've learned before we literally step up the HUMSS world. Before first day of school, I've practiced a lot for me to impress not just myself but also for my new classmates, new teachers that I'll met and fully introduce myself with full confidence and power. And I've also prepared the "HUMSS Starter Pack!" and let's get it on! 1. Do not be afraid to speak. Always remember that each voices of HUMSS students must be heard and let us listen without prejudice. Speak without the fear of being judged. 2. Buy all of the equipment's that connects to HUMSS. YES! The HUMSS starter pack! (Ballpen, sticky notes, LOTS OF NEWSPRINTS, highlighter (especially exams.)) Before you attack in the reality of HUMSS, you must be well prepared and you must have the complete school supplies! That's the first priority in terms

I n this blog, HUMSS can also be an art in terms of sharing your hidden skills which is POETRY, ESSAYS, ART TALENTS, and in this blog, I will share all of the words that I want to share out. #12: 10 HUMSS Myths

1. HUMSS is uncomplicated. If this strand is uncomplicated, how about the pigaan ng utak  sessions especially when creating some on-the-spot activities after the lessons on each subjects? Things get hassle and complicated especially if you and your members are not as one and your ideas get messed up because you have your different perspectives until it turned on a debate. 2. Tasks inside the HUMSS is not difficult. On the past semesters and quarters that goes on. I realized that HUMSS truly developed and I've learned a lot and benefits me about the tasks that we've done for the past months. Doing everyday activities per subjects that must be passed at soon as possible after the task was given. And it's extremely a stressful one especially if your brain is tired and must need to go on to finish the difficult that's been given. 3. HUMSS is not a powerful strand. #13: Weaknesses in Choosing HUMSS

L ooking at the brighter side of HUMSS. There's still some weaknesses that I've been carrying on especially if I know that I'm not in the mood of studying. Pretending that you're not tired just because you are scared that people will say, "Ang arte mo." I sometimes do have sleep anxiety even if I'm tired but thanks to God it literally doesn't affect my sleep especially I needed a lot of rest to again start up a big day.  U s HUMSS need to face up a BIG CHALLENGES everyday, I mean a lot stressful days especially if you don't literally get what is the lesson for today then a seatwork will came and you'll do it for like 15-20 minutes. Second is, being mental blocked at recitations. Even if you've read a lot and memorize it yesterday before the recitation. Teachers will also give tons of reading materials, writing and research topics, and other assignments that may include a creative output like poems, paintings, and speeches. N ot just as I work hard on my strand yet my achievements on my strand will always have a reason to be a workaholic student for my everyday life. I always have the word "DETERMINATION," and the word "INSPIRATION," to all on what I am doing. The reasons on why I am always ready-to-go and waking up in the morning feeling inspired and I know that I have the purpose of my studying and to be more inspired on what I have achieved and remaining humble and grind more in order to be more successful before I work and I know that I have proven something that I can do! Which is HUMSS. After I graduate on Senior High School, I want to be a teacher someday and serve MY future students and the keys of it is still in the making. I know that I'll be successful someday, a teacher with a dream. I will not be just a teacher, but I will be the teacher with a passion. This is the dream, and I will still continue to dream, and soar high. I will surely share on what I've learned on Senior High School, can be even applied either I graduate from college or from work. It's people have written their own strategy and moves on how will they maintain their achievements in order for them to unlock step by step the keys to success. In my experience with HUMSS, i know that I am truly motivated to continue my journey as a student. Even if it's tiring
